Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani has confirmed he will make a decision over Marcelo Bielsa’s future at the club ‘in the next few days’.

The Argentine guided the Whites to their highest Championship points total since they were relegated from the Premier League in 2004, but that was not enough to secure them a return to the top-flight, as they were beaten by Derby in the Championship play-off semi-finals earlier this month.

Bielsa would not be drawn on his future at the club following that 4-3 aggregate defeat, but Radrizzani has now confirmed a decision as to whether the 63-year-old will remain in charge at Elland Road will be made over the coming days.

‘I can say we have a chance to keep him,’ Radrizzani told talkSPORT.

‘We’ll see.

The next few days will be decisive and we will make an announcement.

‘We’ll see in the next few days.

We have an option until the end of the month.

‘We are talking to him and we have few things to clarify but after that we will make our decision public soon.’
