MK Dons land Joe Mason
MK Dons have continued their busy summer by making striker Joe Mason their third signing of the transfer window.
Mason joins on a free transfer after leaving Premier League Wolves, with the newly-promoted Dons having already signed Exeter midfielder Hiram Boateng and Colchester full-back or winger Brennan Dickenson.
‘I’m over the moon to finally get this move done,’ Mason, 28, told iFollow MK Dons.
‘This is a club that has a lot of ambition.
They are moving in the right direction and the facilities are so impressive.
‘The main thing for me, though, was the manager.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about Tis (Paul Tisdale) and after I met him, it was a no-brainer for me.
‘He talked about the game really well and spoke highly of me and how I would fit into his team.
‘ The former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, who has scored 52 career league goals in 143 starts, has played for hometown club Plymouth, Cardiff and Wolves and also had loan spells at Bolton, Burton and Portsmouth.
