Queens Park Rangers forward Lewis Walker has committed his future to the Championship side by penning a one-year extension.

The 20-year-old initially joined up with the club’s Under-23 side in November 2018 after being released by Derby.

He made his first-team debut from the bench against Swansea in April and ended the campaign with four appearances to his name.

Walker was handed his first start for the club in their final home match of 2018-19 against Nottingham Forest and is keen to kick on next term.

‘I’m really excited,’ Walker told the club’s official website.

‘I’m going into my first pre-season here and it is going to be hard, but I’m excited to get it underway and then for the season to start.

‘I came as an Under-23s player and by the end of the season I had got myself into the first-team bracket, so that was a big positive for me and hopefully I can carry on where I left off.’
