Millers boss leading contender for Hull role
Rotherham manager Paul Warne is reportedly the leading contender to replace Nigel Adkins at Hull.
Adkins confirmed on Saturday that he would be leaving when his contract expires at the end of June after admitting his and the club’s futures were ‘not aligned’.
He led Hull to 13th in the Championship last season, winning 17 of their 46 games, after battling against relegation in the early stages of the term.
The Tigers are keen to bring in his replacement as swiftly as possible and it appears Warne is the leading candidate.
Warne suffered relegation from the Championship with Rotherham in 2018-19 for the second time in three seasons.
The 46-year-old is well regarded in the game due to the job he has done on a tight budget with the Millers and he could be rewarded with a move to the KCOM Stadium.
