Maik Taylor joins Walsall coaching team
Former Northern Ireland goalkeeping coach Maik Taylor has joined the staff at Walsall, the club have announced.
The 47-year-old, who won 88 senior caps for his country and was part of the coaching team which took them to the knockout stages of the Euro 2016 finals, has joined Darrell Clarke’s backroom team.
Taylor told iFollow Walsall: ‘I am really looking forward to working here.
I am looking forward to getting started.
‘I have my own philosophies as a goalkeeping coach, but I am going to work closely and alongside what Darrell wants in terms of how he wants to play and use the goalkeeper in a tactical sense.
‘ Taylor’s playing career also included spells with Barnet, Southampton, Fulham, Birmingham and Millwall.
