Bale to Bayern ‘rubbish’
Gareth Bale’s agent has rubbished reports that Bayern Munich have offered to take the Real Madrid star on loan for next season.
Bale’s six-year association with Los Blancos appears to be coming to an end as returning coach Zinedine Zidane seems to be ushering in a new era at the Bernabeu.
The Wales international, signed from Tottenham for £85m in 2013, is rumoured to be one of the players that will be jettisoned – despite scoring 102 goals from 231 appearances in all competitions.
Manchester United have been linked but it was reported over the weekend the Bavarians were happy to pay his wages although they would only take the winger on a loan deal.
Now his agent, Jonathan Barnett, told ESPN FC on Monday that the news is ‘rubbish’ and there has been no contact with the Bundesliga giants.
