Leicester defender remains in demand
Reports claim Manchester City still want to sign left-back Ben Chilwell from Leicester City but they are waiting on other deals.
The England man has been identified as a possible solution to the problems at left-back for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Benjamin Mendy and Oleksandr Zinchenko have been utilised in that position but Guardiola wants to freshen it up, with the former proving to be injury-prone in his two-year spell at the club.
Chilwell could be the subject of a bid from the champions, with rumours persisting throughout the close-season so far.
The 22-year-old was a near ever-present in the Foxes’ line-up last season and is one of a number of their star assets being linked with a move away from the club.
However, Leicester are trying to hold firm over the seven-cap England man and the report suggests Man City may delay the transfer until the next winter window if the fee does not suit them.
