Torino could swoop for Petagna
Torino are reportedly ready to raid Serie A rivals SPAL to sign Andrea Petagna this summer.
The 23-year-old notched 16 goals in the league last season to fire Gli Spallini to 13th in the table, form that is expected to see the Ferrara club utilise the clause in his loan deal from Atalanta that allows them to sign him for 12million euros.
Rather than keep him, SPAL will look to turn a tidy profit and Petagna is not short of suitors around Europe.
Leicester have been linked with bringing him to the Premier League as a replacement for Shinji Okazaki, while Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen are also monitoring his situation.
It appears he will be staying in Serie A, though, and while Lazio have expressed an interest, Torino are leading the chase for his signature.
The Granata are looking to add further firepower to help Andrea Belotti and the pair would form a fearsome strike force, especially with coach Walter Mazzarri preferring a two-man frontline.
A bid of around 20million euros is expected to bring him to Turin although interest from elsewhere may drive the final figure up.
