Clarke fee not agreed by Spurs
Tottenham have not agreed a transfer deal with Leeds United for winger Jack Clarke, but their reported interest is mounting.
Mauricio Pochettino is understood to be a big fan of the 18-year-old, who burst on to the scene for Marcelo Bielsa’s side in the Championship last season.
Clarke’s exciting skilful displays have seen Premier League clubs circle him, with Tottenham leading the chase for his signature.
However, in a bid to keep hold of one of their star assets, Leeds have slapped a £20million price-tag on the academy product, which Tottenham are not currently willing to match.
Clarke scored two goals in 22 appearances in the Championship last season as Leeds faltered at the final hurdle in the league, having being in the automatic promotion race for much of the campaign.
Pochettino is hopeful of being much more active in the market this summer following two successive windows with no new players.
