AFC Wimbledon sign Cardiff Met striker Adam Roscrow
AFC Wimbledon have signed Cardiff Metropolitan University striker Adam Roscrow.
The 24-year-old, who recently completed a masters in sports coaching and pedagogy, has signed a two-year deal, according to his former club.
Roscrow scored 21 goals for Cardiff Met last season and helped them qualify for the Europa League.
Dons boss Wally Downes told his club’s website: ‘Adam has scored a hatful of goals.
‘I’ve got a friend of mine who lives in Wales and he flagged Adam up to me in February.
Then it was a case of monitoring him.
‘I was hoping to see him in the Europa League but he decided that he didn’t want to play in that.
The option was for him to play in that and then come to us, but he decided he didn’t want to risk it.
‘He is a bright kid who is determined to be a footballer and I’m sure he will be successful.’
