Inter the choice for City target
Sochaux youngster Lucien Agoume looks set to reject Manchester City’s advances and move to Inter, according to reports in Italy.
The 17-year-old midfielder came to the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs this summer after making 15 appearances for the French second-tier outfit last season.
City are said to have had him watched and reports claim the Etihad giants offered six million euros for the France Under-17 ace.
However, it seems he has turned down the chance to join the Citizens in favour of a switch to the San Siro.
It follows a trend of young talent looking to join clubs where they will play more football, with City losing England international Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund in 2017, with no apparent path to the first team under Pep Guardiola.
According to FC Inter News, City put in their bid for Agoume and the club were interested, but the Cameroon-born schemer made his intentions clear.
It is claimed Inter matched City’s offer but achievable bonuses were added to the deal and the transfer is in the process of happening.
