Hernandez confirms exit green light
Striker Javier Hernandez has revealed West Ham will allow him to leave this summer if his agent can find a suitable club.
Hernandez, 31, has been with the Hammers for two seasons after signing from Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2017.
The Mexico international hitman has bagged 16 goals from 61 appearances in all competitions but been used mainly as an impact player from the bench.
It was reported last month that Manuel Pellegrini was prepared to let him go and now the player has confirmed that stance.
It seems as though ‘Chicharito’ would like to move – possible to Spain – but will remain at the London Stadium if nothing materialises.
‘I have an agent in Mexico, He is the one more involved.
He is Spanish so has more connections here.
He’s searching for a club, if we can move,’ he told YouTube channel Naked Humans.
‘If not I will stay with West Ham easy, happy.
I have one year left, but West Ham and I have decided it would just be easier to go.
‘ Hernandez made his name at Manchester United while he also spent a season on loan with Spanish giants Real Madrid.
