Inter Milan take ex-Atletico Madrid man
Inter Milan have sealed the signing of former Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin on a three-year deal.
The Uruguayan defender announced earlier in the summer that he would be leaving Atletico following a successful spell.
In nine years with the La Liga giants following a switch from Villarreal in 2010, he scored 26 goals in 389 games, as they went on to establish themselves as one of the best defensive teams in Europe.
He helped them to win the La Liga title in 2014, as well as two Europa Leagues in 2012 and 2018.
Godin also secured the Copa del Rey in 2013 plus three UEFA Super Cups in 2010, 2012 and 2018.
Now, he has signed a deal with Antonio Conte’s men and will play at the San Siro until at least 2022.
He will compete for a place in the side with Milan Skriniar, Miranda and Stefan de Vrij.
