Scunthorpe snap up Alex Gilliead
Shrewsbury winger Alex Gilliead has joined Scunthorpe on a two-year deal.
The 23-year-old, who began his career at Newcastle, has become the League Two club’s fourth summer signing for an undisclosed fee.
Gilliead told Scunthorpe’s website: ‘I’m someone who wants to succeed and for the club to do well, pushing forward and getting us back on the up.
‘Over the weeks, I’ll settle in, get to know everyone and it will be just like home.
‘ Gilliead joined the Shrews last summer after being released by the Magpies and made 35 appearances, scoring three goals in the process.
