Burnley complete deal for England striker
Burnley have re-signed Jay Rodriguez from West Bromwich Albion for an undisclosed fee, believed to be £10million.
The 29-year-old returns to his hometown club seven years after leaving to join Southampton for a fee in the region of £7million.
The Clarets have chased Rodriguez’s signature for over a year and saw at least two bids – the highest being worth a reported £16m – turned down by West Brom last summer.
The England striker did not travel on West Brom’s pre-season trip to Spain last week in order to complete the move back to Turf Moor.
He leaves the Baggies having made 82 appearances, scoring 29 goals.
