Hull sign striker Eaves on three-year deal
Hull have signed free agent Tom Eaves on a three-year deal.
Striker Eaves, 27, was out of contract at Gillingham, where he was votedplayers’ player of the year last season.
‘Eaves, who scored 21 goals for Gillingham in League One last season, was a free agent after his contract at the Priestfield Stadium came to an end last month and has agreed a deal which will keep him at the KCOM Stadium until 2022, with the club also holding the option of adding a further year,’ Hull said on their official website.
Eaves, who has joined up with Hull on their training camp in Marbella, scored 22 goals in all competitions for Gillingham last season.
Hull boss Grant McCann added: ‘Tom will be a great addition for us.
He’s got a different dynamic to what we’ve got and brings something different to our forward line.
‘He comes here with a good pedigree.
He was probably one of the best centre forwards in League One last season in terms of the goals he was scoring in a team that wasn’t around the top end of the table, so we’re really pleased to bring him here.
‘ Eaves began his career at Oldham and also had spells with Bolton and Yeovil before signing for Gillingham in 2017.
