Sarr keen on Watford switch – report
Watford target Ismaila Sarr has reportedly told his Senegal team-mates that he wants to move to Vicarage Road this summer.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to Hertfordshire for some time after a strong campaign with Ligue 1 side Rennes.
In two seasons with the Roazhon Park outfit, the African youngster has bagged 18 goals from 77 appearances in all competitions and caught the eye of a number of top European clubs.
It has been claimed that Watford have already had a bid of around 30m euros turned down earlier his summer but are still hopeful of getting the player on board before the start of the new campaign.
Sarr is currently in Egypt preparing for Sunday’s Africa Cup of Nations semi-final with Tunisia but French newspaper L’Equipe are reporting that the former Metz man has been discussing his future with his Senegal colleagues and told them his preferred destination is Watford.
It remains to be seen what happens but Arsenal and Newcastle United have also been credited with an interest.
