Gunners locked in talks over Samba ace
Arsenal are believed to be locked in talks with Brazilian side Gremio with a view to wrapping up a deal for their star winger Everton Soares.
A new attacker is high on the wanted list of the Gunners, and with attempts to sign Wilfried Zaha looking doomed, all avenues are being explored by the club.
With new technical director Edu now on board, efforts to land a winger are being stepped up and the former Gunners midfielder is said to be locked in talks with his compatriots over a move for Everton.
Everton played a key role in Brazil’s Copa America success this summer, scoring three goals and ended as the tournament’s Golden Boot winner.
The forward was also named Man of the Match for his performance in Brazil’s 3-1 win over Peru in the final and Arsenal are keen to get him on board.
Talks between Arsenal officials and Everton are said to have taken place at the tournament and the Gunners are now ready to make a formal offer.
