Ramsay inspired by Juve’s Welsh legend
Aaron Ramsey wants to make his mark on Juventus in the same way fellow Welshman John Charles did during five years in Turin.
Ramsay left Arsenal for free after 11 years when his contract expired this summer and signed a four-year deal with the Old Lady.
He is the third player to feature for the Italian giants after Charles and Liverpool legend Ian Rush but it is the former he aspires to match.
‘He is an absolute legend over here and for Welsh football,’ said Ramsey.
‘He’s definitely someone I can look up to and hopefully follow in his footsteps.
‘He definitely took everything in and left his mark here.
I know how much he means to this club and the history he contributed here.
‘He is a fantastic player and person I look up to and hope to emulate.
‘ Charles scored 108 Serie A goals from 155 appearances and could also operate in the centre of defence.
