Healey joins MK Dons from Cardiff for undisclosed fee
MK Dons have announced the signing of Rhys Healey from Cardiff for an undisclosed fee.
Forward Healey spent the first half of last season on loan in Milton Keynes, scoring eight goals in 18 Sky Bet League Two appearances to help the Dons on their way to promotion.
The 24-year-old, who started his career with Connah’s Quay Nomads before joining Cardiff in 2013, made three outings in the Premier League on his return to south Wales but has now become Paul Tisdale’s seventh signing of the summer.
‘It was a no-brainer for me,’ Healey told iFollow MK Dons.
‘I really enjoyed my time here last season, so as soon as this move came around, I was desperate to get it done.
‘I felt like I was playing some of my best football here last season, so I’m ready to go again this season and kick on even more.
‘Like last season, I want to work hard, score goals and help the team push up the league.
‘ No contract details have been released by the club.
