Gross calls for Albion consistency
Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross says his side need to find a way to be more consistent if they are to avoid a relegation battle.
Albion made a strong start last season but their form tailed off and they were drawn into the fight against the drop, with Brighton finishing up in 17th place, just two points clear of the bottom three.
Gross was restricted to 27 appearances in all competitions last season due to injury and hopes he can avoid a repeat next season.
The German is also keen for Brighton to improve under new boss Graham Potter as they look to avoid being pulled into another relegation scrap.
‘It was the first time as a footballer that I was injured, and they were two quite big injuries,’ he told the club website.
‘I was just doing a lot of rehab to get back as quickly as possible and help the team, at the end of the season I did that.
‘We stayed up, that was the most important thing and we’ll look to improve this season.
We had a good start but then struggled and I hope we can be more consistent this year.’
