Atleti stand firm on Correa asking price
Atletico Madrid will not consider any offers below €50million for AC Milan target Angel Correa.
Correa, who joined Los Colchoneros in 2014 from Argentine club San Lorenzo, found himself out of favour on occasion last season, but still managed 20 La Liga starts.
The 24-year-old has been pushed further down the Atleti pecking order by the arrival of Joao Felix – despite Antoine Griezmann’s exit – and the Madrid club are willing to cash in on the forward this summer.
Milan are keen but a deal appears unlikely as the Rossoneri are only prepared to pay a fee in the region of €40m, while Atletico value Correa at around €55m.
It has been claimed Atleti would be willing to allow Correa to move on for €50m although that figure is still too high for Milan and it seems he won’t be making the move to the San Siro this summer.
Atletico boss Diego Simeone may be open to offers for the forward but is also happy to keep hold should no acceptable offers come in before the transfer window closes on September 2.
