Blues look to secure Moses

Chelsea are set to offer Victor Moses a bumper new deal following reports Barcelona are showing an interest in the Nigerian star.

Moses looked to be heading for the Stamford Bridge exit door until Antonio Conte took charge, and he now has a new lease of life under the Italian tactician.

The former Wigan and Crystal Palace man is thriving since being employed as a wing-back in Conte’s new formation and grabbed the winner in the 2-1 victory over Tottenham at the weekend.

It was his fourth goal of the season and his performances are believed to have caught the eye of Barcelona, who are reported to be weighing up a January raid.

Chelsea are keen to keep hold but are well aware of the fact Moses could have his head turned by Barca, and are keen to secure his future with a lucrative new deal.

Barca have sent scouts to watch the 25-year-old and Chelsea need to act quickly to get him tied down to a new contract.
