Goalkeeper Stuart Nelson joins Yeovil


Yeovil have signed goalkeeper Stuart Nelson on a short-term contract, the Sky Bet League Two club have announced.

The 36-year-old, who left Gillingham by mutual consent at the end of January, has put pen to paper on a deal until the summer.

‘Yeovil Town is pleased to announce the signing of experienced goalkeeper Stuart Nelson on a contract until the end of the 2017-18 season,’ the club said on their official website.

Nelson made over 220 appearances for Gillingham and has also had spells atBrentford, Leyton Orient, Norwich, Notts County and Aberdeen.

Yeovil goalkeeper Artur Krysiak has been ruled out for the rest of the season and Nelson will vie withJonny Maddison for a place in the starting line-up.
