Norwich: Hughton eyeing cup progress

Hughton's side host Vila, managed by former Canaries boss Paul Lambert, on Tuesday evening bidding to reach their first cup semi-final since they won the league cup in 1985.
Victory would also stretch their unbeaten run to ten games, a run that has lifted them into the safety of mid-table in the Premier League.
Top-flight survival is sure to be Hughton's priority this season but having got this far in this competition, he is keen for his players to go all the way.

"It's a competition that I'd like to make progress in and I'm quite sure that Paul would be exactly the same," he said.
"Irrespective of what this fixture means, one of these teams will get through to a semi-final and I would imagine he's every bit as desperate as I am to get there.
"It's an important trophy for us and it also keeps the momentum going."
