The 32-year-old has had to settle for a place on the bench this season but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has a host of injury problems going into the game against the Black Cats and Silvestre is set to start.
Despite having to watch from the sidelines, Silvestre says he is good condition and is ready to answer the call.
“It’s always difficult to stay on the bench but that is part of playing at the high level,” the Frenchman revealed. “You have to get on with it, and that is what I have been doing.
“It’s always a test, whether you will be ready when it is going to be your time and you never know when that will be. I feel good, fully fit. I just do what I have been doing ? training hard and support the team.”
Richarlison has revealed how he heard of Marco Silva's sacking and admits the Watford squad can't explain their mid-season dip in form.
