The Gunners are currently five points adrift of Sir Alex Ferguson’s side at the top of the Premier League but crucially have a game in hand on United, while defending champions Chelsea are a further four points back.
Arsene Wenger’s men are up against Blackburn on Saturday evening, and by the time the game is played they will have the advantage of knowing United’s result from their lunchtime trip to West Ham.
The two sides are also set to meet each other on May 1, before Ferguson’s side do battle with Chelsea the following weekend.
United have the added burden of facing the Blues in the last eight of Champions League as well as an FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.
The Russia international told Sky Sports News: “I think our schedule is not so bad, that is why if we win all our games we have a good chance to be champions.
“I think everyone in our team would prefer to have more possibilities than only one trophy, but everything is in the past, that is why we have to concentrate on the Premier League matches.
“Straight after it was very difficult for everyone, but now we have come back after the internationals and have refreshed our minds and maybe it will help us.
“I think we are in the race.”
