Villa enter race for Liverpool starlet
Aston Villa are the latest Premier League club to be linked with a January move for Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster.
Liverpool haven’t been able to find a role for Brewster this season despite earning plenty of praise from Jurgen Klopp for his exploits with the under-23s.
The 19-year-old initially caught the eye with the Reds’ youth team in 2017-18 when he netted five times in 11 games.
However, his campaign ended abruptly in January 2018 when he suffered an ankle ligament injury in a 3-2 defeat to Manchester City.
The striker featured just twice the following season, scoring once, and has hit a further four goals in seven games this term.

Klopp has handed the exciting teenager two appearances in the League Cup this season, starting against MK Dons and Arsenal, but he is still waiting for his Premier League bow.
The league leaders are well stocked in attack with Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri.
A lack of opportunity in the league has led to suggestions that Liverpool could look to loan Brewster out in January.
It seems a sensible thing to do to ensure he continues developing at a steady rate and senior football will be his next test.
Reports claim Brewster has no shortage of admirers across the country with Premier League and Championship clubs monitoring his situation.
Crystal Palace, Bristol City and Swansea have been credited with an interest, while Aston Villa are the latest to be linked.
Villa have hit 17 goals this season but results haven’t gone their way and they sit just one place and one point above the drop zone.
Summer signing Wesley is Villa’s top scorer with four and Dean Smith is looking to reinforce with Jonathan Kodjia and Kelvin Davis failing to register.
Reports have linked the Villans with a number of attacking options ahead of the winter window and it’s not clear how far down the list Brewster’s name is.
