Liverpool link with Fraser ‘wide of the mark’

Liverpool have played down reports they are weighing up making a move for Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser in January.
The 25-year-old has a little over six months left on his contract with the Cherries and appears destined to move on either in January or when his deal expires.
The transfer rumour mill suggested on Monday that Merseyside could be Fraser’s next destination with the European champions said to be in advanced talks with Bournemouth over a January switch.
However, those claims have quickly been dismissed with several journalists, informed by those at Anfield, that they aren’t in talks with Fraser or Bournemouth.
Been told that the speculation about #LFC and Ryan Fraser is wide of the mark. Claims that they are in talks over a January move dismissed as ‘nonsense’. Liverpool have also recently been linked with Denis Zakaria from Gladbach but Klopp happy with his midfield options.

It is understood that, barring any injuries, Liverpool won’t be looking to make any signings in January, ruling them out of any potential bidding war for Fraser.
The Aberdeen-born winger was heavily linked with a move away from the Vitality Stadium during the summer with Arsenal and Tottenham both understood to be keen.
However, Bournemouth stood firm and rejected the advances of the north London duo in the hope they could get him signed up to a new long-term contract.
Little progress has been made over an extension amid rumours Fraser is keen to move on from Eddie Howe’s stable and the club could be forced into a sale in the new year.
Fraser, who has been ruled out of Scotland’s upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Cyprus and Kazakhstan, has scored once and created two more goals in 13 appearances for Bournemouth this season.
That is a far cry from his performances last season when he netted eight goals and recorded an impressive 15 assists in 42 appearances.
