Cherries reject Arter bid

Bournemouth are believed to have rejected an offer from Premier League rivals West Ham for midfielder Harry Arter.

Arter has dropped down the Cherries’ pecking order of late and there has been speculation the Republic of Ireland international could be on the move in the January transfer window.

It has now been claimed West Ham have made a move for the 28-year-old although Bournemouth have rejected their £5million bid.

It remains to be seen if the Hammers will return with an improved bid, but they will have to significantly raise their offer to tempt the Cherries into a sale this month.

Both clubs are involved in the relegation battle and if Bournemouth are to sell Arter, or any other player, to a direct rival it would take a bid that is simply too good to turn down in the January transfer window.
