Seagulls starlet earning rave reviews
Brighton defender Ben White continues to earn rave reviews with his efforts at Leeds United after former defender Danny Mills talked up the Seagulls starlet.
Having caught the attention of Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa at the start of the summer, the Championship outfit were able to get a season-long loan deal over the line for the highly-rated 21-year-old, who was brought in to replace the departing Pontus Jansson.
Seagulls staff continue to monitor White’s progress with the West Yorkshire side and they will have once again been pleased with what they saw from the youngster, as Leeds beat Salford City 3-0 in the Carabao Cup first round on Tuesday night.
Ben White vs. Salford City:
90% pass accuracy
49 successful passes (second-most)
9 ball recoveries (most for Leeds)🌟
7 clearances (most for Leeds)🌟
6 duels won
4 aerial duels won
3 blocked shots (most)🌟

Former Leeds and England defender Mills has been impressed with what he has seen from White so far and feels Brighton have an exciting talent on their hands.
“Ben White yet again was superb,” Mills told Football Insider.
“Having to deal with a lot of aerial balls, a lot of long balls as well, Salford played very direct at times and I thought he was very, very composed, good on the ball.
“I thought he stood up to the challenge of having to defend against those sort of balls very, very well. He looked a real talent.
“Leeds fans were a little bit worried when Pontus Jansson left, I actually think if he carries on like this he could be a real upgrade.”
Leeds have no clause in White’s contract to make the deal a permanent move to Elland Road in the summer and the defender will be heading back to the Amex Stadium.
However, based on his form in the early stages of the season, Leeds could be tempted to make a move for the Brighton defender next summer but whether the Seagulls would entertain the idea of cashing in remains to be seen.
