Hendrick targets Potters win

Jeff Hendrick says Burnley's confidence will be given a huge boost if they can pick up a win at Stoke City this weekend.

The Clarets have impressed at Turf Moor, and had it not been for their form on home soil, they would be in deep relegation trouble after picking up just one point on their travels.

That came in the unlikeliest of places against Manchester United at Old Trafford but they have been unable to build on it and were thrashed 4-0 at West Brom in their last away clash.

Boss Sean Dyche has hinted at changes as they look to pick up the three points, and Hendrick hopes he is given the chance to help out at the Bet365 Stadium.

“We’ll have a hard game and we’ll have to make sure that we’re ready. We’ll have a good week’s training building up to it and hopefully we can get something out of the game,” the 24-year-old said of the clash.

“That first win will definitely make a difference. The confidence will grow in the group and we’ll take it on from there. It would be nice to start on Saturday.”
