Luiz absent for Blues

Chelsea will be without David Luiz for their last Champions League Group C game at home to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.

Blues manager Antonio Conte has confirmed Luiz will miss out with an ongoing knee problem while denying reports the Brazil defender’s absence was down to a breakdown in their relationship.

The 30-year-old has played only once since criticising his manager’s tactics for Chelsea’s defeat to Roma in October.

Striker Michy Batshuayi could feature after being left on the bench for the win over Newcastle and Gary Cahill is in line for a recall at the back with Antonio Rudiger dropping out, while Davide Zappacosta is also hoping to feature.

A win for the Blues would see them top Group C ahead of AS Roma.
