Liverpool have insisted the Spanish World Cup winner is not for sale but speculation suggests they would be willing to sell the striker if Chelsea launch a £50million move, with the Anfield side already rejecting the Blues initial £35million offer.

It remains to be seen if Chelsea can convince Liverpool to sell Torres, who has had a transfer request rejected at Anfield, before the window slams shut at 11pm on Monday but if they include Anelka in the deal they will stand a better chance of capturing the Liverpool star.
