Duffy calls for Brighton focus

Shane Duffy has urged Brighton to get back to winning ways after Saturday's disappointing 2-0 defeat at Everton.

Brighton arrived at Goodison Park on a seven-game unbeaten run but they went down 2-0 against the Toffees and ended the match with 10 men after Anthony Knockaert was shown a red card late on.

The Seagulls are sitting 11th in the Premier League, seven points clear of the relegation zone, and make the trip to Manchester United on Saturday for an FA Cup quarter-final clash.

Duffy, who has been a regular fixture at the heart of defence this season, says the whole team are unhappy with the recent performance and want to put things right for the remainder of the campaign.

‘We know we’re better than that – and we have to have the right mentality now until the end of the season,’ he was quoted as saying by the club’s official website. ‘We’re still in a good position in the league and we’ve done well. Seasons are over 38 games, not just one, and you’re going to lose games over the course of the campaign.’
