Hornets display no surprise to Ince

Huddersfield's Tom Ince was not surprised that Watford's display in their 1-0 loss on Saturday had an 'end-of-season' feel about it.

It seemed as though the spoils would be shared at the John Smith’s Stadium until Ince pounced in stoppage time to bag the only goal of the game and move the Yorkshire outfit on to 35 points and virtual safety.

The Terriers are now just two places and two points behind the Hornets, who have not won in five top-flight games and seemingly been stuck in mid-table obscurity for some time.

Whether or not Watford and Huddersfield are already safe from relegation only time will tell, but Ince is in no doubt the fact that Javi Gracia’s men have already put the points on the board contributed to the type of football played on Saturday.

‘It was a huff and puff type of game, neither team really stamped their authority on the game,’ he told the Huddersfield Examiner. ‘It was always going to be that type of match from Watford’s point of view, we are in the last echelons of the season and it was like end of season blues for them.’
