African strike star linked with Foxes move
Leicester City are among the clubs weighing up a move for FC Porto striker Moussa Marega as Brendan Rodgers looks to add to his ranks.
The Foxes have been linked with a swoop for the player but have been put off by Porto’s valuation, which is said to stand at 40million euros and is more than Rodgers would be willing to pay.
Reports in the Portuguese press now claim that some good performances for Mali at the Africa Cup of Nations which begins next Friday, could spark fresh interest in him.
The striker certainly has an eye for goal having fired home 21 for Porto last season, and if he takes that form into the tournament then the 40million euros could suddenly seem like money well spent.
The Foxes are not the only interested party either, with fellow Premier League sides West Ham United and Wolves also said to be in the hunt for his services.
