Klopp handed fitness boost ahead of Napoli clash

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has no fresh injury concerns and has confirmed Mohamed Salah "looks really good" ahead of Wednesday's meeting with Napoli.

The Reds can clinch first place in Champions League Group E by winning the contest at Anfield, and they will be looking to win their eighth match in a row in all competitions.

Klopp’s side may not have it all their own way though, with Carlo Ancelotti’s outfit the only team to beat them inside 90 minutest this season.

However, the Serie A side are struggling at the moment, having failed to win any of their last six matches. Liverpool will hope to book their place in the last 16 as soon as possible, with Klopp’s troops set to play in the Club World Cup next month.

A victory would allow Klopp to rest some of his players in the coming weeks and punters can back them to grab the three points using their free bet. Reds’ fans may get the chance to see Salah return to action this week after a recent injury lay-off.

The Egypt international remained on the bench for Saturday’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, while midfielder Naby Keita is back in training after a recent illness. Defender Joel Matip is still unavailable due to a knee injury, but Klopp admits he is pleased by Salah’s recent progress.

He told the club’s official website: “Good, good. No long-term injuries – no Joel, no Clyney, no Paul [Glatzel].

“Naby was a little bit [ill] after the game, he trained yesterday, but all the others look fine. Mo looks really good. He looked really good in training the day before yesterday, especially, after the game. It was really good.

“Yesterday we didn’t do too much, so we will see today – but I’m not worried about it.”

Ancelotti will have to deal with several fitness issues with Arkadiusz Milik, and Lorenzo Insigne set to sit out.

The former has a stomach problem while winger Insigne is battling an elbow injury. Full-back Kevin Malcuit remains a long-term absentee due to ligament damage.
