Reds give Dortmund hitman hope

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly open to linking up with his former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

The 28-year-old Gabon international striker has been prolific for the Bundesliga outfit since Klopp signed him from Saint-Etienne in 2011 with his 31 goals in 32 league games last term ensuring he finished ahead of Bayern Munich hitman Robert Lewandowski in the race for the Golden Boot in Germany.

Aubameyang has been linked with a host of top European clubs including Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, but reports are suggesting that Liverpool will attempt to seal a deal for him with a club-record 70 million euros bid in this transfer window.

And it is thought the player would be tempted by a move to Anfield given that he would be reunited with Klopp, while the Merseysiders also have Champions League football on the menu again next season.
