Reds boss Rafa Benitez was forced to substitute all three players during the 1-1 Champions League draw against Atletico Madrid in Spain on Wednesday night and faces an anxious wait to see if they will be ready for the top-of-the-table showdown at Stamford Bridge.
Keane picked up a groin injury and limped off after he had fired the Reds into a 14th-minute lead, Alonso suffered a knee knock and Gerrard was withdrawn with fatigue.
Benitez said: “The three players had some problems.
“Keane and Gerrard and Alonso were tired, so we were trying to use players with fresh legs. We were trying to protect all of them by substituting them.
“I don’t think they are serious. We will have to wait and see tomorrow.
“It was a little bit of a muscle problem for Robbie. Gerrard is okay. He was really tired and Alonso has a knock on his knee. “We need to check with Keane. He will see the doctor.”
Bristol Rovers have appointed Martyn Starnes as the Sky Bet League One club's new chief executive officer.
