De Bruyne prepared to adapt

Manchester City
Kevin de Bruyne is loving a 'remarkable' Premier League title race. And he says Tottenham are still well in it.

Kevin De Bruyne believes Manchester City may have to alter their style to break teams down going forward.

City scored 95 goals in 38 Premier League games last season and De Bruyne feels their rivals may start to alter their tactics to cope with the attacking threat Pep Guardiola’s men pose.

“Obviously teams are going to play differently, maybe even more defensively than they did, so we may have to learn how to break things down in a different way,” he told the club website.

“That’s what we did last year differently to the previous season.”

City began the new campaign with a convincing 5-0 win at West Ham on Saturday but they may face a sterner test this weekend when they entertain Tottenham.

The fixture does represent an early chance for the Premier League champions to take revenge on the side who dumped them out of the Champions League last season, but Spurs have legitimate title aspirations of their own and will be looking to make a statement.

Raheem Sterling managed a hat-trick against the Hammers and punters may wish to use their free bet to back the England forward to grab a goal against Spurs in the late kick-off on Saturday.
