United forward in potential Inter move
Inter Milan have made contact with Manchester United over a deal to sign want-away striker Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku has been the subject of speculation all summer after falling down the pecking order last season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Recent reports suggest he would be keen to depart Old Trafford this summer as he feels undervalued by the current management team.
United paid around £90million for him from two years ago but would be prepared to let him depart for the right price.
Inter Milan have been one of the clubs most keen to sign him all summer, with new boss Antonio Conte eager to strengthen their attack.
And, sporting director Piero Ausillo has confirmed he met with United club officials to discuss a transfer for the 26-year-old Belgian striker.
Ausilio said: ‘It was an official approach between two important clubs.
We’ll see what happens.
‘All the players we’re following are targets we’ve agreed with Antonio Conte.
We want to satisfy his request within certain financial parameters.
‘ Despite his stance of wanting a move, Lukaku has stayed professional at Carrington, and even returned to pre-season training earlier than expected.
