Shaw in contention for Toffees clash

Manchester United

Paul Pogba's hamstring injury rules him out of Manchester United's clash with Everton but Luke Shaw is available after four months out.

Pogba limped off in Tuesday’s Champions League win over FC Basel – a match Phil Jones and Eric Bailly missed through suspension.

United boss Jose Mourinho intends to bring the pair back in central defence on Sunday.

He could also include Victor Lindelof if he opts to switch to a back three system – a tactic that has caused Everton problems recently.

Shaw has been unavailable because of ligament damage to his foot since the back end of last season, but Mourinho said the left-back is now in contention once more.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo continue their recoveries from knee ligament damage.

Provisional squad: De Gea, Romero, Valencia, Darmian, Lindelof, Bailly, Jones, Smalling, Blind, Shaw, Young, Fellaini, Matic, Herrera, Carrick, Pogba, Mata, Lingard, Mkhitaryan, Lukaku, Martial.
