Magpies defender returns to training
Newcastle have received a much-needed boost on the injury front with defender Paul Dummett returning to training.
The Magpies have struggled to find their feet this season and they currently lie in 19th spot in the Premier League table with just two points to their name.
Boss Rafael Benitez knows results must start to improve soon or they risk being relegated back to the Championship after only a two-year top-flight stay.
The Spaniard had to contend with injury issues prior to the international break but that looks set to ease off with Dummett pushing for a return.
Dummett has missed Newcastle’s last two games with a hamstring issue but he was back on the training pitches on Thursday as he looks to step up his fitness.
He will be hoping to get up to full speed in time for their next Premier League outing when they host Brighton on October 20.
