Although he is in the dark when it comes to the takeover, Benitez admits he will need to consider loaning players from some of Europe’s bigger clubs.
When asked about loan moves, he told the Chronicle: “Yeah, we have to analyse every possibility because at the moment we don’t know what is going on.
“We have to consider every option and see it’s for us or not. The priority is to stay in the Premier League – not find the next best player for the next 10 years. We must make sure we have what we need to compete.
“We need to have the experience, physicality and quality to improve the team.”
