The Potters had been reported to have bid nearly £8million for the 6ft 8′ frontman but Potters boss Pulis has denied any such approach.
Spanish media reports had said that Valencia had excepted a substantial bid from Stoke for the player but that Zigic was unsure whether to join the Premier League new boys.
Zigic’s agent, Milan Calasan, said earlier this week that Stoke had also made a failed attempt to loan Zigic. However, Stoke boss Pulis has since said the reports were untrue.
The striker has attracted interest from a host of clubs including Aston Villa, Galatasary, Bolton Wanderers, Sunderland and Palmero.
Zigic is thought to prefer a move to England after reportedly rejecting a move to Galatasary earlier in the week.
