Bony made his second debut for the Swans in their 1-0 defeat at home to Newcastle United last Sunday after a disappointing spell at two-times champions Manchester City.
He played just over 60 minutes during the week for the club’s Under-23 side, in a 5-2 win over Derby County, netting one goal.
The 28-year-old Ivorian, who scored 34 goals in 70 appearances in his first spell at the Liberty Stadium, hopes he can get back to his best and get more match time under his belt.
“It was good for me to get some more minutes in the week because I haven’t played much in the last eight months or so,” said Bony.
“It’s always good to score no matter what level it is at. Goals are so important for your confidence as a striker.”
“I am going to keep working and I know the best will come. I am sure about that.”
Ipswich striker Joe Garner will not play again this season after it emerged he suffered a fractured skull against Sheffield United last week.
