Fabianski wants Bony goal-fest

Lukasz Fabianski is hoping Wilfried Bony will now go on a goalscoring run after opening his account against Stoke City.

The Ivory Coast international netted in just the third minute of the game at the bet365 Stadium before the Potters roared back to seal a 2-1 triumph.

That left the Swans rooted to the foot of the Premier League table, with just nine points to their name from 15 games played.

Manager Paul Clement has reportedly been told that his job is safe, but he could certainly do with a few wins to ease the pressure and make sure the south Wales outfit do not become cut adrift at the bottom.

Goals from Bony would help matters and goalkeeper Fabianski now wants his team-mate to keep up the good work at the business end of the pitch.

“From what I heard, Wilf is that kind of striker whose confidence will grow after a goal,” he said. “He is a really massive help for the team with the job that he does up front.

“He has been an important player since he came back from injury and hopefully he will grow and grow as a player in the next few games.”
