Eriksen to choose Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur

Ajax playmaker Christian Eriksen has reportedly told his agent that he will be joining Tottenham in the summer.

Any deal will depend on Spurs qualifying for the Champions League, if they do not then the deal is off, but the Danish international looks to have made a decision to join Andre Villas-Boas’ men at White Hart Lane.

The Dane has been on the club’s wanted list for the past two years and a £12m deal looks to be in the pipeline for the summer although Arsenal, Liverpool and Inter Milan have all been linked as well and could still try to hijack any move.

Eriksen will not come cheap as his contract does not run out until 2014, but he believes he needs to move this summer to progress his career and will not sign a new deal in Amsterdam.
