Midfielder to sit out Spurs clash

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will revert to his first choice starting XI to face Everton but Harry Winks is out.

The Spurs midfielder has an ankle injury which rules him out of the clash with Sam Allardyce’s men but whether he would have played anyway is open to doubt as Pochettino goes back to his first choice side.

Defenders Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld remain unavailable to Pochettino who has no other injury concerns.

Striker Fernando Llorente, who insists he’s happy at Spurs despite a lack of action this season, is almost certain to step down to the bench after last week’s FA Cup start.
